On               the               second               year,               a               student               can               pick               among               the               subjects               offered               in               the               elective               curriculum.

There               are               around               96               courses               offered               by               Harvard               University               because               electives               and               students               can               prioritize               a               course               depending               on               their               specific               preferences               and               the               availability               of               the               classes.

Students               are               expected               to               spend               at               least               2               years               completing               business               course               work               and               another               2               years               with               regard               to               completing               a               detailed               dissertation.

The               doctorate               program               can               be               finished               in               about               four               to               five               years               from               Harvard               University.
               Executive               Training               at               Harvard               University:
               Although               Harvard               Business               School               does               not               provide               an               Executive               MBA;               it               does               offer               other               executive               programs               for               prospective               students.

Although               these               programs               tend               to               be               non-credit,               they               do               award               status               to               students               who               finish               them.

These               executive               programs               include:
               The               OPM               or               Proprietor/President               Management               Program
               This               part-time               plan               is               designed               for               entrepreneurs               who               run               a               business.
               The               AMP               or               Advanced               Management               Program
               This               program               is               actually               intended               for               senior-level               supervisors               in               companies               as               well               as               organizations               and               may               be               completed               in               just               8               weeks.
               The               GMP               or               even               General               Management               Program
               This               program               is               designed               for               training               middle               managers               and               may               be               studied               part-time.

It               requires               a               few               courses               to               be               completed               on               campus               and               some               courses               completed               as               part               of               a               distance               learning               program.
               Harvard               Business               School               Admissions
               Harvard               Business               School               consists               of               a               highly               diverse               multi-cultural               student               population,               with               students               originating               from               many               countries               as               well               as               diverse               backgrounds.

It               has               some               of               the               world's               most               picky               admissions               requirements.

Harvard's               2008               business               class,               for               instance,               had               a               15%               admission               rate.
               To               become               part               of               the               student               body               at               the               Harvard               Business               School,               an               applicant               must               have               finished               one               degree               at               any               undergraduate               school               accredited               in               the               United               States               or               at               least               the               equivalent.

A               student               must               also               pass               the               Graduate               Management               Aptitude               Test               (GMAT)               exam               and               complete               all               required               paperwork               for               admission               into               Harvard               University.

Foreign               students               may               also               be               required               to               pass               other               test               to               gain               admission               into               the               University.
               Getting               into               to               Harvard               University               is               hard               work;               however,               once               you               do               and               get               a               degree               from               Harvard               you               can               open               many               doors               to               your               professional               career.
